New chief executive at CPF Board from March 15
NG Chee Peng, currently deputy secretary (Special Projects) of the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), will take over as chief executive of the Central Provident Fund Board (CPF Board) from March 15.
He will succeed Yee Ping Yi, who had assumed the role of chief executive of the CPF Board in January 2011. Mr Yee will return to the civil service where he will assume another leadership position, said MOM on Friday.
Mr Ng was the Chief of Navy prior to joining MOM. Mr Ng holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours First Class) in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford, UK, as well as a Master of Public Administration from Harvard University, USA. In the course of his career, he has held, among others, the appointments of director (policy) in the Ministry of Defence, Chief of Staff-Naval Staff, and Chief of Staff-Joint Staff in the Singapore Armed Forces.
