New UniSIM pathway soon for individuals in SkillsFuture Earn-and-Learn programmes

INDIVIDUALS who complete the SkillsFuture Earn-and-Learn programmes (ELP) will soon have access to an alternative progression route into relevant UniSIM undergraduate degrees, by way of advanced standing or credit exemption, announced Deputy Prime Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam on Friday at UniSIM's 10th anniversary lunch.
UniSIM will be working with polytechnics to establish the articulation pathway, so that industry collaboration will start even before students enter UniSIM. This will recognise the skills and knowledge acquired through the ELP. More details will be released later.
Also, UniSIM is developing a website that offers continuing education and training (CET) and professional development to the public. Some of these online courses will be free or partially free, said Prof Cheong Hee Kiat, president of UniSIM.
UniSIM intends to launch the website progressively in three phases, with implementation in 2016.
