[WELLINGTON] Job advertisements in New Zealand edged up 0.1 per cent in July from the previous month, a survey by ANZ Bank showed on Thursday, rising for the first time in five months although there were signs of stagnating employment growth.

The data suggested demand for labour was easing as economic growth stalls following a strong run seen in the past few years.

The jobless rate edged up to 5.9 per cent in the second quarter, and ANZ said it expected it would remain around its current level for the rest of the year.
