Ng Joo Hee to be PUB chief executive from Jan 6
LEADERSHIP changes are afoot at the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and the Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources (MEWR).
Commissioner of Police Ng Joo Hee, 48, will become MEWR deputy secretary (Special Duties) and also concurrently be the new Public Utilities Board (PUB) chief executive on Jan 6, 2015.
He takes over from Chew Men Leong, who helmed PUB from Dec 8, 2011 to Sept 30, 2014, and then became chief executive of the Land Transport Authority (LTA) from Oct 1.
Come Jan 6, the new Commissioner of Police will be Hoong Wee Teck, 51, who is now Deputy Commissioner (Investigations and Intelligence) and director of the Criminal Investigation Department.
