No protection if misconduct detected in running of 1MDB, says Najib

UMNO president and prime minister Najib Razak has given the undertaking that no one will be protected if any misconduct is detected in the running of 1Malaysia Development Bhd, or 1MDB.
The state-owned investment fund is widely reported to be struggling to pay off more than US$11 billion in debt, raising fears that it could collapse and wreak havoc on Malaysia's financial system.
