Partial US-China trade deal only a truce: analysts

DESPITE US President Donald Trump's optimism after the US and China announced a partial trade deal last weekend, analysts say that uncertainty remains and it is highly unlikely the US will lift economic pressures off China any time soon.
The so-called "phase one" trade deal was concluded after a two-day visit of a high-level Chinese delegation to Washington, but this does not address structural issues in the Chinese economy, the analysts add.
