[MANILA] Philippine annual inflation was 2.7 per cent in June, slowing from the previous month's 3.2 per cent, the statistics agency said on Friday, due to lower food and fuel prices.

Economists in a Reuters poll had expected an inflation rate of 2.9 per cent in June, which was within the central bank's 2.2-3.0 per cent forecast for that month.
