Presidential election to be held in September with new campaign rules

[SINGAPORE] This year's presidential election will be pushed back to September, to avoid the campaigning period coinciding with National Day celebrations in August, said Minister in the Prime Minister's Office Chan Chun Sing on Monday (Feb 6).
In the past, Polling Day typically fell in the last week of August.
