Robust start points to stronger year for NODX

NON-OIL domestic exports kicked off 2015 with a strong 4.3 per cent year-on-year growth in January, underscoring expectations that NODX will do better this year.
NODX's decline had already eased from 6 per cent in 2013 to 0.7 per cent last year, but there was still no growth. International Enterprise (IE) Singapore sees NODX putting on 1-3 per cent gains in 2015.
This is a forecast that the government trade promotion agency made last November - and it's sticking to it in its review of Singapore's trade performance in 2014.
