[MOSCOW] The Russian rouble on Tuesday plunged by around 5 per cent against the dollar as global oil prices tumbled towards a six-year low.

By 1330 GMT the dollar was up to 66.38 against the ruble from 63.17 on Monday evening, while the euro was at 78.15 to the ruble.
