Rough patches for China on road to sustainable growth: IMF

CHINA's economic slowdown to a more sustainable rate of growth continues, but the road ahead is likely to the bumpy at times, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) said on Friday in its latest Article IV consultation report on the world's second largest economy

China continues its transition to sustainable growth and more consumption-driven growth, with progress being achieved on many fronts, the IMF noted.

The report came as it was announced that China's economic activity slowed in July, with year-on-year investment growing at its slowest pace in more than 16 years.
