Sakae boss's omakase for manufacturing body

AS CHAIRMAN of the sushi empire Sakae Holdings, Douglas Foo may seem an unlikely candidate to helm Singapore's manufacturing association.
"I think that's the reason they brought me in in the first place," said Mr Foo, with a laugh. The newly-elected president of the Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF) added: "To change the perception that a manufacturer has to be the electronics guy, or the precision engineering guy."
