SINGAPORE and Sri Lanka have confirmed that they would pursue a bilateral free trade agreement (FTA), one that is expected to comprise commitments in trade in goods, services, investment and government procurement.

Announcing this in Colombo on Wednesday, Singapore Industry Minister S Iswaran stressed that both sides stand to gain much from concluding a "modern and comprehensive" FTA.
