THE SkillsFuture movement has the potential to be the "secret weapon" in Singapore's arsenal as the country aims to keep its competitive edge in a changing global landscape. This was the view of Liang Eng Hwa, chairman of the Government Parliamentary Committee for Finance and Trade and Industry, as he kicked off a three-day debate on this year's budget.

SkillsFuture is a long-term effort to provide Singaporeans the opportunity to reach their full potential through training, regardless of their starting points in academic qualifications or professional experience.
