Pro-family moves include new child development grant
FAMILIES with children will receive government support through various new measures announced in Budget 2016.
The moves - meant to make Singapore a better place to raise a family - include a new child development account (CDA) first step grant of S$3,000 for all Singaporean babies born from March 24. This grant will be deposited into CDAs only from July 1 and can be used for the child's healthcare and childcare needs.
