SIX industry transformation maps (ITMs) have already been launched, and the Singapore government will roll out the remaining 17 within FY2017, said Finance Minister Heng Swee Keat on Monday.
First announced at last year's Budget, the ITMs bring together the trade associations and chambers, unions and government to align their efforts around a common plan to transform each sector.
"Where we spot opportunities, including ones that do not fit any existing industry, we will adapt our ITMs to seize them. We must also maximise synergies between related ITMs, such as between the food services and hotel industries," said Mr Heng.
