SG Budget 2017: S$700m in public-sector infrastructure projects brought forward
THE government will bring forward S$700 million worth of public sector infrastructure projects to start in the fiscal year of 2017 and the fiscal year of 2018, said Finance Minister Heng Swee Keat on Monday.
It will also proceed with the foreign worker levy increases for construction announced in 2015. The levy rates for basic tier R2 workers will be raised from the current S$650 to S$700 on July 1, 2017. These rates will apply for July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2019.
