Singapore Budget 2018: Singapore to build skills in workforce for overseas expansion
THE government will continue with industry partners for the workforce to develop deep skills that can take more businesses abroad.
Singapore will launch a new Asean Leadership Programme this year to train business leaders in building networks and planning expansion into Southeast Asian markets, Finance Minister Heng Swee Keat said on Monday.
The Singapore Business Federation and the Singapore Management University will also work on an initiative to help SME leaders transform their organisations.
Under the SkillsFuture Leadership Development Initiative that was launched in 2017, companies have committed to train almost 200 Singaporeans, with 180 more in the pipeline.
