THE timeline for major transport infrastructure projects, such as Changi Airport's Terminal 5 and Tuas Port, could be impacted if the Covid-19 outbreak drags on and disrupts the supply of construction equipment and materials, said Transport Minister Khaw Boon Wan.

Speaking to the House during the Committee of Supply (COS) debate on Thursday, he said: "We are tracking the impact on our transport infrastructure projects. For now, the delay to project timelines is still manageable. But if the outbreak drags on, it could disrupt the supply of construction equipment and materials. This could impact the timeline for Terminal 5, Tuas Port, new MRT stations, and the next-generation ERP system."
