APPLICATIONS for the Singapore-Indonesia reciprocal green lane will open on Oct 26, and travel will commence soon after.

This comes as negotiations over the green lane have concluded, the foreign ministries of both countries said in a joint statement on Monday.

Operational details of the reciprocal green lane, including the procedural requirements, health protocols and the application process, will be announced in due course, they said.

The reciprocal green lane, referred to as the travel corridor arrangement in Indonesia, will enable cross-border travel for essential business and official purposes to resume between both countries.

Eligible applicants for the reciprocal green lane are Indonesian citizens, as well as Singapore citizens and residents. These travellers will need to abide by the Covid-19 prevention and public health measures mutually agreed by Indonesia and Singapore. These include pre-departure and post-arrival Covid-19 polymerase chain reaction swab tests from mutually recognised health institutions.
