SINGAPORE factory output growth slowed in July, with the manufacturing expansion set to moderate on a cooling global semiconductor boom.
DBS senior economist Irvin Seah said: "Manufacturing growth will remain in expansion mode, but the pace on a year-on-year basis will continue to moderate in the next six months."
Industrial production rose by a lower-than-expected 16.3 per cent in July, amid the high year-ago base for the linchpin electronics cluster, said the Economic Development Board (EDB) on Thursday.
