Singapore puts aside S$700m for Tourism Development Fund over next five years

THE Singapore government is allocating S$700 million to a third tranche of the Tourism Development Fund from 2016 to 2020.

This was announced by Minister for Trade and Industry, S Iswaran, on Monday morning at the Tourism Industry Conference organised by the Singapore Tourism Board.

In his speech, Mr Iswaran highlighted that the next phase of government support for tourism would focus on product development to make sure Singapore remains a destination of choice, technology adoption as well as enhancement of manpower capabilities.
