South Korea April inflation accelerates to near four-year high, beats forecasts

[SEOUL] South Korea's consumer prices rose 2.3 per cent in April from a year earlier, government data showed on Tuesday, the fastest growth since August 2017 and beating a 2.2 per cent increase tipped in a Reuters survey.
Month-on-month inflation was 0.2 per cent, slightly faster than a 0.1 per cent increase in March.
