South Korea jobless rate falls to 3.9% in April
[SEOUL] South Korea's unemployment rate declined marginally in April, with more jobs created in the manufacturing and service sectors, government data showed Wednesday.
The jobless rate stood at 3.9 per cent, down from 4.0 per cent in March and 4.6 per cent in February, according to Statistics Korea.
Compared with a year earlier, the jobless rate remained unchanged, and the seasonally adjusted rate for April also stood pat at the 3.7 per cent registered in March.
The number of employed people reached 25.90 million last month, up 216,000 from a year earlier.
