SINGAPORE and China are entering the next phase of bilateral cooperation as they look to celebrate 25 years of their bilateral ties next year and work on a third government-to-government project.
Meeting Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on the sidelines of the annual Apec Summit, Chinese President Xi Jinping pointed out that cooperation between China and Singapore has always been one step ahead of other bilateral cooperation China has with other Asean countries.
"We are satisfied with the progress of bilateral ties between China and Singapore," Mr Xi said at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. He told the Singapore delegation that as both countries mark 25 years of bilateral ties next year, future cooperation between both countries will be even more closely aligned with each other's development needs.
