THE Singapore Tourism Board (STB) will be calling a combined agency pitch for its creative, digital and production services in August 2015, it said on Wednesday.

STB said it is looking for a "global network agency that can integrate creative, digital and production capabilities, a combination that is in line with industry trends and best practices".

It is currently using a few different agencies. The contracts for its creative agency J. Walter Thompson and digital and production agency Mirum were awarded in April 2013 and will end in March 2016, while its media agency MEC will have its contract extended by a year until the end of March 2017, STB said.

Noting that consortiums can also bid in the tender, STB said the appointed agency or consortium will be awarded a two-year contract with an option to extend it annually for a maximum of three years, "subject to satisfactory performance".

STB assistant chief executive officer Lynette Pang said the Board was "seeking world-class agency partners who are able to offer bold and impactful solutions, while providing a holistic and strategic perspective on the global STB account".

A video by STB in 2014 that showed a couple from the Philippines visiting Singapore drew some amount of criticism from local netizens for its poor script.
