Tan Kiat How to take over as new IMDA chief
THE Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), the statutory board that regulates the infocomm and media sectors, will be led from Jan 1, 2017 by Tan Kiat How, the incoming chief executive officer (CEO).
He succeeds Gabriel Lim, who will continue to serve as Second Permanent Secretary (Communications and Information). Mr Lim became CEO of the former Media Development Authority of Singapore in December 2014, IMDA's predecessor which was merged with the Infocomm Development Authority and launched in October.
Mr Tan is Deputy Secretary (Cyber and Technology) at the Ministry of Communications and Information (MCI).
He had served at the former Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA), the Ministry of Finance and the Pioneer Generation Office (PGO).
