Thai central bank consumption index up 0.9% month-on-month in June

[BANGKOK] Thailand had a current account surplus of US$893 million in June after one of US$2.13 billion in May, the central bank said on Friday.
The Bank of Thailand also said its index for private consumption in June rose 0.9 per cent from the previous month, while its index for investment was up 0.2 per cent.
It said exports in June slipped 8.9 per cent from a year earlier, following May's 5.5 per cent fall.
