Thai May consumption index up 1.3% m-o-m
[BANGKOK] Thailand had a current account surplus of $2.13 billion in May, nearly double the previous month's US$1.11 billion surplus, the central bank said on Tuesday.
The Bank of Thailand also said its index for private consumption in May rose 1.3 per cent from the previous month, while its index for investment fell 0.5 per cent.
It said exports in May slipped 5.5 percent from a year earlier, extending April's 1.7 per cent fall.
