[BANGKOK] The current level of Thailand's baht currency is still appropriate so no action is needed at the moment, Prime Minister General Prayuth Chan-ocha said on Tuesday.

Mr Prayuth told reporters that he had met with the central bank and the finance ministry last week, and "the central bank said the current baht level was okay. No need to intervene or do anything."

The baht was little changed at 32.56 against the dollar at 0740 GMT, after hitting a near three-month high of 32.48 early last week.
