Tourist spending down 1.7% in Q2, despite 8% increase in visitor arrivals: STB

    OVERALL tourism spending in the second quarter of this year declined 1.7 per cent to S$6.6 billion, compared to the same period last year.

    This was despite some 4.6 million visitors arriving in Singapore between April and June this year, an 8 per cent increase on the same period last year, the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) revealed in its quarterly report on Friday.
