PRESIDENT Donald Trump is "pleased" with a bipartisan deal to fund government through September, the White House said on Monday, even though several of his top priorities were left out of the agreement.

But President Donald Trump threatened on Tuesday to force a government shutdown later this year after congressional Democrats and Republicans struck a budget deal that largely neglected his priorities.
