US economy grew 3.5% in third quarter

[WASHINGTON] The US economy grew at an annual rate of 3.5 per cent in the third quarter, much stronger than expected, according to Commerce Department data released on Thursday.
The robust pace of gross domestic product growth followed a strong 4.6 per cent rate in the second quarter, and was better than the 3.0 per cent average estimate of analysts.
