THE number of registered Washington, DC lobbyists is at its lowest level in 18 years, mainly because more lobbyists are not registering and not because there are fewer lobbyists, two watchdog groups said on Monday.
President Donald Trump has lashed out at the US capital's army of influence experts in his vows to "drain the swamp". On Saturday, Mr Trump signed an executive order implementing a five-year ban on members of his administration working as lobbyists.
