US-Singapore ties are deep and wide: PM Lee
Strong links between the two governments, companies and people from both sides have kept ties strong over the years, he says
Washington, DC
WITH Singapore and the US celebrating 50 years of bilateral relations this year, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong hailed the deep people-to-people links that have helped keep those ties strong all this while.
"The fact that there are so many Singaporeans here in America - living, working, studying, some married here and some are visiting - shows how wide and deep our relations are," he said at a function held at the Singapore Embassy in Washington on Sunday (Monday morning, Singapore time).
