MORE support is being extended to sectors hit hardest by the fallout of Covid-19 outbreak as the government sees a "subdued" labour market in 2020.
After an "unexpectedly good year" in 2019, when employment growth hit a five-year high of 57,000, up from 38,300 in 2018, according to the Labour Market Report 2019 released on Thursday, the outlook has become "a lot more uncertain", Manpower Minister Josephine Teo told reporters on Tuesday during a visit to ST Logistics.
