Wanted: New ways to finance infrastructure in emerging economies

DEVELOPMENT experts attending the Asian Development Bank (ADB) annual meeting in Frankfurt have called for radical new approaches to financing in order for emerging economies in Asia and elsewhere to close their massive infrastructure funding gap.
Multilateral development banks (MDBs) have also been urged to help shoulder currency and other risks.
