Weak monthly China trade data points to slower growth ahead

Exports fall in Dec by 4.4% and imports are down 7.6% as ongoing trade war with US takes its toll on global trade

China's exports to the US declined 3.5 per cent in December while its imports from the US were down 35.8 per cent for the month. Shipments to Hong Kong, a major centre for re-exports of Chinese goods, dropped by 26 per cent.
