Zika under-reported in South-east Asia, say regional specialists

THE spread of the Zika virus across tropical South-east Asia is likely to be significantly under-reported as local health authorities fail to conduct adequate screening, regional specialists said on Monday.
International travel hub Singapore has to date 56 locally-transmitted cases of the mosquito-borne virus after 15 more were confirmed on Monday and said that it anticipated more, raising fears about how quickly it could disperse throughout the region.
