Jaguar F-Type: Sultry new looks for a car worthy of applause
A facelift for the F-Type suggests that Jaguar cared about making its coupe look exactly right
Singapore
THE first few words to tumble from my wife's lips when she laid eyes on the Jaguar F-Type were: "We have to buy one." I didn't argue, because the F-Type is a car that has beauty coming out of its ears. Also, the wife is not the kind of wife you argue with. All I need now is for my stock portfolio to go up a hundred times so I can look at the S$377,999 price tag without wincing. Any day now.
Meanwhile, the F-Type has always been pretty, but a facelift has made it sultry. LED technology has helped to narrow the headlights into an alluring squint. The front grille looks more chiseled and purposeful. Even the clamshell bonnet has new lines, which suggests that Jaguar really cared about making the car look exactly right.
