IN further efforts to diversify Korea's offerings to the MICE industry, a new MICE task force has been set up to highlight other regions which have not been as prominent previously.

Gyeongju, while an ancient city of history and culture and the capital of the Silla Kingdom, Korea's longest dynastic period, has so far seen relatively muted development in the MICE space.

The bigger events that Gyeongju has hosted so far include the 13th Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations General Assembly in the Asia-Pacific and G-20 Finance Ministers Meeting in 2010.
