Carbotech, the next Bronzo
Panerai puts the spotlight on Luminor Submersibles in 2015.
OFFICINE Panerai's spotlight this year is on its Luminor Submersible collection - identified by a rotating bezel - and the new Luminor Submersible 1950 Carbotech 3 Days Automatic - 47mm clearly is the star among the brand's latest launches.
With the Carbotech (S$24,800), Panerai hopes to repeat the big success of the "Bronzo" it introduced five years ago - a Luminor Submersible timepiece with a case made of bronze, a first in the luxury watch industry.
Carbotech also features a case which Panerai says is fashioned out of a material that's never been used in the world of watchmaking: carbotech, a composite based on carbon fibre.
