Celebrating good governance

THE very best of the local corporate governance scene were feted at the 10th annual Singapore Corporate Awards (SCA) on July 8 this year, when multiple-award winners took centre stage at Resorts World Convention Centre to be recognised for their transparency and accountability.

Homegrown conglomerate Keppel Corp was the biggest large-cap winner for 2015, taking home four prizes, including the prestigious gold award for Best Managed Board. The firm has bagged eight golds in various categories since the SCA was launched in 2005. Keppel Corp was joined on the podium that evening by small-cap MegaChem, a specialty chemicals firm that also bagged Best Managed Board along with three other awards.
