MANUFACTURERS looking for partnership opportunities in Europe have been turning to the EEN Singapore Centre in Bukit Merah, where they can also access technological expertise and information on intellectual property rights.

The centre has so far welcomed more than 500 Singapore manufacturers and facilitated over 200 meetings and eight partnership agreements - in the space of the 10 months since its inception. The facility is the result of a collaboration between the Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF), Enterprise Europe Network (EEN), International Enterprise (IE) Singapore and Intellectual Property Intermediary (IPI).

The Committee on the Future Economy (CFE), in its Feb 9 report, singled out the EEN Singapore Centre as an example of how trade associations and chambers (TACs) can play a vital role to support the internationalisation of Singapore companies.
