From champs to chumps, Spain looks to rebuild

THEY say all good things must come to an end, but the Spanish team probably didn't expect their eventual descent from football's pinnacle to be this sudden and painful.

Champions at the last World Cup in South Africa four years ago, they turned out to be nothing more than chumps in Brazil.

Spain are used to creating history on the football pitch - but just not quite the way they've done so this time.
