TRANSHUB, Singapore's first of its kind multimodal container transportation hub, was conceptualised by home grown CWT to facilitate resources sharing and consolidation of trucking operations among local hauliers, thereby enhancing productivity of the container industry in Singapore. CWT, which is a leading provider of integrated logistics and supply chain solutions, operates TransHub, located near the Jurong island bridge, as a shared facility.

"Apart from just looking at raising productivity within CWT, we are also working closely with various logistics associations to raise the productivity level for the Singapore logistics industry. This will help Singapore to remain as a key distribution and logistics hub in the Asia-Pacific region," says Kay Kong Swan, chief executive officer, integrated logistics, CWT Limited.

Listed-CWT is embarking on a mega-integrated logistics hub which will lead to quantum productivity improvement in supply chain operations. The 2.3 million square foot logistics hub will be ready by the first half 2017.
