WHEN a safety incident occurred at one of Keppel Land's projects in Jakarta, the company's CEO personally went down to the site to take stock of the situation. His purpose was not only to understand what had happened, but to also send a strong signal to the company's stakeholders that safety was a top priority for the management.
Keppel Land has since set up safety training centres at various locations to better foster a culture of safety as it strives to achieve a zero-harm workplace in Singapore and at its overseas projects and offices.
This is just one of many efforts that the Singapore property developer has made as part of its mission to build a sustainable business by operating in an economically, socially and environmentally responsible manner.
