RESIDENTIAL consumers could be looking at the option of buying electricity from green energy retailers once regulations are in place to allow intermittent energy sources to supply more power to the grid.
With more decentralised power stations, such as solar panels, located closer to end-users, lower electricity prices could be on the cards because less of the national grid would be used to transport power.
