[SINGAPORE] The Republic will have up to two new liquefied natural gas importers - under a second LNG aggregatorship - by the end of next year.
This was indicated by the Energy Market Authority (EMA) under a two-stage selection process which it has just kicked off.
The LNG importer/s will be required to bring in a smaller incremental volume of about one million tonnes per annum (tpa) of gas feedstock required by the generating companies and big industries like the refineries/petrochemical complexes here for the three years until 2018.
