DFS has been serving world travellers since 1961, beginning with the opening of Hong Kong's Kai Tak Airport and subsequently Honolulu Airport in 1962.
DFS Singapore Venture was established in 1973, opening its first airport operation at Singapore's Paya Lebar airport in 1978.
It has partnered with Changi Airport since the opening of Terminal 1 in 1981, operating the Perfumes and Cosmetics Concession. In 1985, DFS was awarded the Liquor & Tobacco Concession at Changi and has retained this concession ever since.
